Alexandre Antonelli is the Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Professor of Biodiversity and Systematics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His research centres on the development of tools and methods in biological sciences, including the organisation and processing of large datasets through novel bioinformatic solutions.
His current research focuses on understanding how habitat loss is impacting species distributions and driving extinction amongst the vascular plant flora on the island of Hispaniola.
